I purchased the exoskeletal chassis, nose cone and a few other bits from MEV. I was not massively impressed with their build quality so I commissioned a good friend of mine (who happens to be an aircraft engineer) to build the Trike for me.

The MEV Trike build took in excess of 300 hrs, no corner was cut, this MEV has been built to the highest standard using the best components available !!

Not being a mechanic myself I did not want to be “tinkering” (As kit car people call it) every weekend, as testament to the build quality I have covered 2500 mile in 2 years and apart from a component failure (Fuel pump) the trike has not missed a beat.

It’s on an age related plate, all new parts were used during the build, and the R1 engine which had only covered 7000 miles was completely striped and re-built during the build.

The trike has no driver aids, so no ABS, no traction control, no DSC etc….Its 100% down to your ability and your right foot, if you want a pure driving experience and super car performance than this could be for you.

I had a few options on the trike, electric reverse gear, front and rear spoiler kit, quick rack (2.2 turns lock to lock) fully adjustable suspension Quaife gear change…the list goes on…. Since the build I have also ran the cooling system on evans waterless coolant, so its pressure less and runs cooler.

I hope this gives you an idea of what I have for sale, please don’t confuse this with a kit car built by your local DIY man! (No disrespect intended if thats you!)

The Ducati 916 managed to achieve something very few other bikes have ever managed – it transcended the boundaries of the market and gained universal recognition and praise from both motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists alike. It is this fact that makes the 916 such a standout motorcycle and was a major reason for its iconic status.

Developed in 1993 and launched in 1994, the 916 Strada was an astounding success. It had journalists spluttering for the superlatives and Foggy reaching for the World Superbike title in the bike’s very first year of production. The 916 was a quantum leap forward.

Looks and performance-wise the bike was a winner. With lines from the pen of Massimo Tamburini and an eight-valve, liquid-cooled motor from the genius of Massimo Bordi, form and function hadn’t been seen moulded together so perfectly since The Creation itself.

It wasn’t the most powerful (100 bhp at the wheel for a 916), it wasn’t the lightest (around 200 kg) and it could be agony to ride if you were anything but the perfect size for it, but the 916 was the most beautiful motorcycle then created and it’s still the benchmark for two-wheeled exotica today.

The first thing you notice about the Victory Hammer-S is the paint job. The white racing stripes over bright metal flake- blue paint scheme. It says ‘fast’. The high quality paint shows off the beautifully-styled bodywork. The tank is divinely proportioned. The intersection of tank and seat is stunning in its flow and grace. The headlight is a small work of art. The swing arm is an unbelievably svelte answer as to how to hang a back tire off a bike.

From almost every angle, the Hammer-S is attractive. Even people who aren’t into bikes look at this bike and comment on how gorgeous it is. After people get over the looks, they notice the rear tire. It’s big. Really big. 250mm or 10-inches wide big. This is not a bike for introverts. This bike attracts people.

The Hammer-S is powered by a 106 cu-in (1,731cc) V-twin motor. This is a 1.7-liter motor. Your car may have a smaller motor. While there is no replacement for displacement, there is definitely room for a little technology. Just ‘cuz you are following the herd, doesn’t mean you need to be agricultural about it. The Hammer-S has 4-valve heads, is fuel-injected and has self-adjusting cam chains and hydraulic lifters. The power plant pounds out close to a 100hp and twists off 113ft lbs of torque. In the chromed out world of forward controls these are big numbers. In the ever-faster world of sport bikes, these numbers are still big numbers.

So, in the end, it turns out the Victory Hammer-S is truly no poser bike. With great performance, fantastic build quality and beautiful design, the Hammer-S lives up to its looks and is an option for the sport rider who wants to back it off a notch, but is not willing to totally give up yet.
